E. Topology optimization for controlling dynamic structural behavior

In this research, we are studying the topology optimum design method to maximize the damping performance as a way to reduce the dynamic response caused by earthquakes and mechanical vibrations in a short time. The following is a simple example of calculation of the optimal structure for external forces of different frequencies. Using these basic principles of mechanics and optimization mathematics, we are developing multi-material damping mechanisms using materials with different material stiffness, density, and damping performance.
